Biography:

Kenzie Murphy, M.D., is a board certified family medicine physician. Born and raised in Marshall, TX, Dr. Murphy then obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Community Health Education from Baylor University. She attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX and completed her internship and residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler. In addition to completing a Family Medicine residency, she had more focused training in the area of Obesity Medicine.

Dr. Murphy was drawn to family medicine because she enjoys developing life long relationships and taking care of the whole person. Her special interests within Family Medicine are weight management, women’s health, and mental health.

Dr. Murphy resides in Longview, TX with her husband, who is a Longview Lobo softball and football coach, and two children. They spend their free time cheering on Lobo sports, boating at the lake, and playing outside with their yellow lab Rue.

As a native East Texan, Dr. Murphy is excited to be back home with Diagnostic Clinic of Longview.
