Biography:

Dr. Sarah Chavez was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  She completed undergraduate studies at Texas A&M University in College Station, earning degrees in Biomedical Science and Spanish.  As part of that coursework, she studied abroad in Puebla, Mexico, for one year and became fluent in Spanish.  She went to medical school at the University of Texas in Houston and then completed her residency in Family Medicine back in Baton Rouge.  She is board certified in Family Medicine since 2014. In her medical practice, she is interested in helping women understand their hormones, especially related to their fertility and menstrual problems like pain, irregular cycles, cysts, PMS or trouble getting pregnant.  In addition, she helps to manage diabetes, high blood pressure, and other chronic conditions.  In her free time, she likes to spend time with family and friends, grow in her faith, read and travel when she can.  She is excited to start her practice here in northeast Texas.

La Dra. Sarah Chavez es originaria de Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  Obtuvo licenciaturas en español y ciencias biomedicas en Texas A&M University, College Station.  Tambien aprendio español mientras estudio en Puebla, Mexico.  Asistio a la escuela de medicina en Houston y luego hizo su residencia en medicina familiar en Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  Esta interesada en ayudar a las mujeres a entender sus hormonas y su fertilidad, especialmente con problemas de los ciclos menstruales, quistes, o infertilidad.  Ademas de eso, ayuda a los pacientes con diabetes, la alta presion, y condiciones cronicas.  Le gusta pasar tiempo con su familia, crecer en su fe, leer y viajar cuando puede.  Esta feliz de empezar su practica aqui en Texas.
